In most of today's vehicles they are comprised of hundreds of complex components working together to ensure that your vehicle starts and runs properly. However over time these components can wear out, resulting in a loss of performance and fuel economy. The technicians at Shawn Walter Automotive are trained to work on today's high tech engines. It may be time for your tune-up if you notice a decrease in gas mileage, a noticeable loss in power. If your engine starts running rough or stalling when it's at a stop. Or the easy one, your check engine light remains on after the initial start-up. A standard tune-up, or spark plug replacement done at the suggested maintenance interval will make an engine easier to start and improve fuel economy. It's never a bad time to have your vehicle checked out by some trained professionals at Shawn Walter Automotive in Muenster Texas.
Ken Hooper of Blue Mound, Illinois, recently purchased a project vehicle. It's a stretched Jeep body on a 1980 K20 4x4 chassis. Ken said, "this vehicle has been driven on the road for many years, but it's also been a very dependable mud truck and still runs and drives great." Currently, the vehicle is undergoing an overhaul, the engine and transmission are still in great working order and will not be replaced. JASPER's technical support helped determine that the vehicle's transmission is a Turbo 400, remanufactured by Jasper Engines & Transmissions back in 1989. Ken said, "this transmission has lasted for many years longer than the original. Thank you, JASPER."
Stories like this are why we choose JASPER for our customers here. Dependable - Made in the USA - Nationwide Warranty.
The Air and Fuel Department of Jasper Engines & Transmissions has moved to a new location within the Wernsing Road remanufacturing facility.
Sales of air and fuel components has steadily increased, and JASPER believes it could be one of the company’s top departments in the next five to ten years. In preparation for this overall Diesel Division growth, JASPER recently completed a 12,000 square foot expansion project at the Wernsing Road facility.
We have great pride in our military and veterans and honor them on Veterans Day each November 11th. Did you know how and why it is on November 11th? The reason dates back to 1918 and pays homage to the date and time the WW I cease fire went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month when a temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect. November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars” eventhough the official end of the what we refer to as "The Great War" ended with the Treaty of Versailles signed on June 28, 1919, in the Palace of Versailles outside the town of Versailles, France.
